Dotty Vintage Weddings was established in July 2012, and is a UK based vintage wedding and style blog.
- Dotty Vintage Weddings aims to provide inspiration and guidance for brides organising a wedding with a difference. The wedding industry has become saturated with predetermined ideas and perceptions. Brides assume that they have to follow the norm, and often don’t even know where to start looking if they want to break from tradition.
- Dotty Vintage Weddings is a beautiful resource for the alternative bride, and features some of the very best wedding suppliers and services, all with a vintage or quirky twist. You can also find real weddings, styled shoots and regular guest blogs from both other brides and suppliers alike.
- Remember, your wedding day should be about you and your husband to be. It’s not about spending thousands or ticking the boxes to please the rest of the family. It should be a day that you never forget, for all the right reasons. We all know how expensive weddings can be, so where possible, Dotty Vintage Weddings also features money-saving tips, and thrifty tutorials.
- The Dotty Directory features some of our favourite wedding suppliers, and you can also find vintage events and wedding fayre listings here too. If you’ve got a wedding problem that needs resolving, or you just need some support or guidance from someone in the industry, then visit “Help! I have a Wedding Dilemma!” to find out Dotty Vintage Weddings can help.
So, who’s behind the scenes?
Laura Greenland – Creator & Editor in Chief
Hello to my lovely readers! I’m Laura, the creator behind Dotty Vintage Weddings. I currently work in marketing for a fabulous Cornish company, and spend every spare waking minute working on our beautiful blog. I’m also a 20 something bride to be, and will be tying the knot in September 2014.
I live in Cornwall with my lovely hubby-to-be, who proposed on Christmas Day 2012, and we live with our four fabulous cats, and a house rabbit called Jules. I am dotty about everything and anything to do with weddings, and I adore all things vintage. Can you guess where the name of the blog might have originated?
I absolutely love tea, being in pyjamas whenever possible, white chocolate in any form, and visiting Sennen Cove – my most favourite place in the whole wide world. I’m not a fan of Monday mornings, angry commuters, or people who are just generally grumpy.
Rebecca Hanmer – Bristol Correspondent
Rebecca works as a producer and script writer for the BBC and is based in Bristol. She lives with her lovely husband Richard, and their two beautiful children Ben & Molly. Richard runs Ben & Molly Wedding Photography, and will be photographing my wedding next year!
Rebecca produces fabulous articles and features for Dotty Vintage Weddings and joined the team in March 2013. Rebecca is a fan of all things crafty, thrifty and is a self-confessed bookworm.
Faye Neo – Creative Genius
Faye is the whizzkid behind Curly Chops Design, a design company where “different is definitely better”. She also produces ‘Love Vintage Wedding Stationery’, a beautifully bespoke and vintage inspired range, perfect for the cute and quirky bride to be.
Faye also joined the blogging team in March 2013, and designs the most wonderful moodboards to inspire the Dotty Vintage readers.
