Dotty Vintage is coming to you live from the Headland Hotel in Newquay, Cornwall. This is one of the highlights of the year for the Cornish wedding industry, and it’s not hard to see why.
I attended the Fabulous Wedding Festival last weekend, and it was an amazing event with some truly brilliant wedding suppliers. It had a festival atmosphere, complete with tents, camping and cider! The fair today is of course a little more traditional, and sophisticated (I’ve left my wellies at home!) but it has an equally exciting ambience.
WED Magazine know how to organise an event, there’s no doubt about it. The fair feels well publicised and professional. And they have selected some of the South West’s most luxurious and quality wedding suppliers.
Jess Billington, who works in marketing for WED, was very excited about the day so far, “It’s been incredibly busy. It’s the third fair we’ve organised, and it’s busier and better than ever before. We have around 50 suppliers exhibiting with us here today.”
It’s lovely to see some familiar faces, along with some lovely suppliers that I haven’t met before.
My stand out supplier so far is Anwen Jones Florist who had a beautiful stand full of quirky and unique ideas.
I also bumped into the lovely Emily Hankins Cakes who I featured on Dotty Vintage Weddings a few weeks ago. Emily is one of Cornwall’s most talented cake makers, hand-painting and carefully crafting each piece that she works on. You can see more examples of her work in her Dotty Vintage Featured Post.
I’ve spotted the lovely Inspire Hire with another beautiful table display. It’s lovely to see Elle again, this time, without the muddy field and terrential rain!
Sarah Drew Jewellery is an extremely talented designer based in Cornwall. Her display today is beautiful, and she would be a perfect choice for a vintage wedding.
More updates later!
