FabWedFest is the place to be next weekend if you’re planning a wedding with a difference. On 16th March, the festival takes place with a huge range of vintage and alternative wedding suppliers, not to mention a banquet, fashion shows, crafty workshops, and even a cocktail campervan!
I’m part of the live blogging team on the day (I can’t explain how excited I am!), so I’ll be posting/tweeting live from the event. You’ll be able to keep up to date with everything, even if you can’t make it in person!
If all of the above wasn’t quite enough excitement for you, there’s also a whole load of Live Music throughout the day, and I’m delighted to announce the full line up!
Alex Gregory is an up and coming singer-songwriter. She writes all of her own songs, and together with her acoustic guitar, Alex has been gigging around the South West, and her home town of Exeter for the past year.
“Heard this girl sing live last night and was blown away. Check her out!” (Nick Tarbitt Integrity Records)
Cydney Brown is a singer-songwriter, heavily influenced by Elvis, The Beatles and Eva Cassidy. She’s all about “fun, love and jammin'”
“The Roaring Trowmen are a group of six hearty men in Bristol who sing sea shanties and folk songs. And we drink beer. We love singing a good rousing sea shanty / chanty / chantey (however you’d like to spell it) and we want to share our enjoyment with the world – or at least a bit of it.”
“The Pookas are a five piece band covering a huge range of styles – whether you want a jazz band for a swinging 20’s lindy-hop event, a hefty funk band, or some real soul numbers. We also enjoy playing a stripped down acoustic set for a more intimate, laid back vibe.”
The Lyrics formed in Devon, and are a four piece band, performing a huge range of contemporary material, right back to the swinging 60’s.
“The beautifully hand-crafted Holy Roller mobile venue is a self-contained art lorry in the form of a fairytale church. Equipped with DJ both, sound system and disco lighting for an unusual and delightful pop-up event. On private land it can take guests on a ride while the party rolls. The pop-up spire provides a romantic focal point for private drinks, speeches, intimate gatherings or photo opportunities.”
“Andy, Ben, Chris, Ollie and Tim have been playing music together for 7 years. That’s 7 years of gigging together, rehearsing together, touring together and even living together. We provide the kind of entertainment that leaves everyone from young kids to senior citizens with huge grins on their faces, feverishly demanding “MORE!!!” As 5 friends with so many shared experiences we have crazy amounts of fun playing together, and our audiences can’t help but feel part of the action.”
