Featured Supplier – Vintage Rose Photography

“Our passion is to make your wedding day as special as it can be “

This is the ethos that Vintage Rose Photography follow, and I am absolutely delighted to be featuring them on Dotty Vintage Weddings. Vintage Rose Photography is run by husband and wife team, Luke & Lucy. The company is newly established, but they are quickly building up a wonderful portfolio of work. With a background in design and photography, the couple are extremely talented. When they tied the knot themselves, they decided they wanted to help others to capture their special day on film. You can read more about the company here.

Beautiful moments captured on film

Wedding photography is definitely beginning to steer away from the traditional group shots, and overly staged photographs; I much prefer a more informal style of photography. Vintage Rose can capture these intimate flashes of genuine emotion; the image below is full of raw feeling and it’s probably a point in the bride’s wedding day that she’ll never forget.

I’d love to know the story behind this reaction!

Some of the images from their portfolio are more traditional in style, and the team have clearly carefully considered the composition behind each shot. The image below is really quirky, almost like you’re getting a sneak peek into the groom’s wedding day.

Artistic composition can result in beautiful photographs

Wedding blogs have become a major source of bridal inspiration over the past few years, and newly-weds are encouraged to have their weddings published after their special day. It’s a great opportunity for photographers to show their up close macro skills, something that Vintage Rose are clearly very talented at. And from a bride’s perspective, if you put hours and hours into labouring over all of the finer details, make sure you encourage your photographer to spend some time documenting these little additions. Once you’ve arrived to your venue, and had any outside shots taken, it might be a good moment for your photographer to disappear inside and take some snaps before your guests starting moving everything around on your beautiful tables!
